The schools were in Hadley Township, a community with a rich legacy in African-American education in St. Louis County.

February 16, 2021
Strong community support of schools in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District is not a relatively new phenomenon. That's just one of the fascinating tidbits you'll hear in this Black History Month discussion with several former MRH students who attended the original Lincoln School and New Lincoln School in Hadley Township, a Richmond Heights community with a rich legacy in African-American education in St. Louis County. Also participating is a historian who has taken it upon herself to preserve that legacy. The discussion lasts a little more than 15 minutes in length and can be viewed here.
