Colleen Kirby has been promoted to assistant vice president of the Gateway Community Development Fund, Inc. She will be responsible for maintaining records and reporting with the U.S. Department of the Treasury; assisting with the originating and servicing of loans to housing developers; reviewing new tax assessments for Low Income Housing Tax Credit investments; and assisting in the development of Gateway’s consulting business.
An affiliate of the St. Louis and Kansas City Equity Funds, Gateway was established in 2009. It was certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2011 as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
Its primary purpose is to promote community, social and economic development by providing loans, development and technical services, and organizational development guidance to entities engaged in delivering affordable housing and community development in under-served areas throughout the state of Missouri and in Southern Illinois and Eastern Kansas.
