LEGAL SERVICES OF EASTERN MISSOURI WELCOMES ASHLEY KEMPER

Ashley Kemper has joined Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) as a part-time attorney in the Lasting Solutions Program. She previously served as a contract attorney and volunteer attorney at LSEM. Lasting Solutions helps stop family violence by providing comprehensive legal assistance, integrated support services and a coordinated community response to survivors of domestic violence. In 2011, Kemper was the recipient of the John R. Essner Young Lawyer of the Year Award - an annual honor that recognizes a new attorney who has made a meaningful contribution to the lives of LSEM clients through their pro bono work. Prior to her work at LSEM, Kemper was an associate attorney for Latham & Watkins, LLP in Chicago. Kemper has a B.A. in economics from Stanford University and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. She is a member of the Missouri Bar and Illinois Bar. Active in the St. Louis community, Kemper serves on the following boards: YWCA, The Muny, Saint Louis Art Museum Friends Board, and Family Resource Center Advocacy Board.
