Michael Chivell Reelected as Managing Partner and Laurence Tucker Named to Executive Committee

Armstrong Teasdale’s equity partners have reelected Michael A. Chivell to serve a three-year term as managing partner, a position he has held since 2007. In addition, Laurence R. Tucker, managing attorney of the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri and Overland Park, Kansas offices, was elected to serve a three-year term on the firm’s 11-person executive committee.

In his role as managing partner, Chivell heads the firm’s team of more than 500 lawyers and staff members across eight offices in the United States and Shanghai, China. An experienced corporate finance and real estate attorney, Chivell is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in real estate law and Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers. He received his J.D. from the University of Iowa School of Law and B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University. 

Tucker serves as lead trial counsel in the defense of civil lawsuits and has tried over 60 jury trials in state and federal courts. He has also argued before the Missouri and Kansas Supreme Courts and the Fifth, Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Tucker received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and B.A. from Central Methodist College.
