Mr. Kaemmerer Wraps Up Term as Crisis Nursery BOD President

Many accomplishments highlight 2-year term

As his term comes to a close, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery would like to thank Mr. Bryan Kaemmerer for serving as President of its Board of Directors for the past two years.

Mr. Kaemmerer is a partner in the labor and employment practice group of the law firm of McCarthy, Leonard, Kaemmerer, L.C. He first joined the Crisis Nursery’s Board of Directors in 2007 and was installed as President of the Board in 2018. In 2008 Mr. Kaemmerer co-founded the Crisis Nursery’s Young Professional Board.

During Mr. Kaemmerer’s term, the Crisis Nursery achieved the following:

  • keeping over 10,000 babies safe from child abuse and neglect,
  • expanding the scope of the neighborhoods that the Nursery serves via the newly opened Outreach Center in south county and the expansion City Outreach Center
  • raising hundreds of thousands of dollars via fundraising events,
  • successfully maintaining the Nursery’s operations during the recent pandemic.

Mr. Kaemmerer said, “It has been a pleasure getting to know the Nursery’s staff, donors, volunteers, and other constituents. Going forward, I am confident that the Nursery is strategically positioned to address and overcome the economic, social and other challenges that abound in our current society, and is in good hands with our leader and Chief Executive Officer DiAnne Mueller.”

DiAnne Mueller, CEO of the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, said, “Day after day, year after year, Bryan has demonstrated his commitment to the Crisis Nursery and his support for the children and families we serve. We are so grateful his hard work and dedication as President of the Crisis Nursery’s Board of Directors.”

About the Crisis Nursery: The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a 24-hour, 365 days/year safe haven for children, birth through age 12, whose families are facing a crisis. Parents bring children to the Nursery free of charge, on a voluntary basis where they receive a medical exam, therapeutic activities, nutritious meals and take-home necessities. Parents receive crisis counseling, in-home visits, parent educational groups and community outreach. In 34 years, we have served over 120,000 children.
