MRHE Launches Drive Today To Restock The District Food Pantry

Local food bank supplies -- including those at the School District pantry -- are at a seasonal low, so please join us as we launch a collection drive for Weekend on Wheels, the MRH food support network. The drive will take place at MRH Elementary School beginning today, December 21. We'll collect donations each day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here's how to donate: drive through the Glades Avenue circle on the east side of the Elementary School, look for your grade-level box, and drop in your donations!

For an extra special treat, drop off those goods today between 10:30-11:30, 12:30-1:30, or 2:30-3:30 for a chance to see your favorite MRHE staff members and take home some hot cocoa goodies, all safely prepared and delivered, of course!

As for donations, here's what is needed most: pasta sauce, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter & jelly, soups and Ramen noodles, pudding, cake mix, instant potatoes, biscuit or muffin mix, applesauce, fruit cups, nut-free snacks, quick rice dishes, canned chili and beans, canned fruit and vegetables, granola bars, Pop Tarts, snack crackers and cookies.

Finally, just to add a little competitive fun to your spirit of generosity… the grade level with the most donations will get to see their teachers, counselors and principals get pied in the face during the winter parties!
