Playgrounds Reopen In Clayton

All drinking fountains remain closed.

The City has received approval from the St. Louis County Health Department to reopening playgrounds and all preparations are now completed.

  1. DeMun Park Playgrounds: OPEN
  2. Oak Knoll Park Playground: OPEN **The Clayton Early Childhood Center, has exclusive access to this playground Monday - Friday until 1:00 pm to accommodate COVID-19 childcare social distancing requirements.
  3. Shaw Park Treetop Playground: OPEN
  4. Shaw Park South Playground: OPEN
  5. Taylor Park Playground: OPEN

Please remember that all drinking fountains remain closed.

Parks crews will be cleaning and disinfecting each playground on weekdays with CDC approved cleansers. To further help limit the risk of disease transmission, please note the following:

  • Playground equipment will be open daylight hours only (dawn to dusk).
  • Stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms.
  • Face masks are required except on children at play.
  • Maintain a minimum of 6 feet of social distancing from others. If the playground seems crowded, come back at another time.
  • Limit time spent at playgrounds to ensure that other families have the opportunity to play.
  • Wash or sanitize hands regularly.
