RH Police: Accidents in April Caused $1.2 Million in Losses

TheΒ Richmond Heights Police DepartmentΒ recently posted three documents to its website that detail traffic accidents that happened in the city in April 2013.
One ranks the number ofΒ accidents by location; another identifies theΒ time of day and day of the weekΒ on which accidents happened; and the final file describes theΒ severity of each accident.

- 53Β βΒ Total accidents to which the department responded
- 11Β βΒ Injuries that resulted from accidents
- 42Β βΒ Cases that involved only property damage
- $1.219 millionΒ βΒ Estimated losses, in dollars, caused by lost productivity and expenses resulting from accidents in the city
- Β 22.64Β βΒ Percentage of accidents that happened on Monday, the highest-accident day of the week
- 5.66Β βΒ Percentage of accidents that happened on Sunday, the lowest-accident day of the week
- 16.98Β βΒ Percentage of accidents that happened during the 3-4 p.m. hour, the highest-accident time of day
