The 2014 spring sports season for area teams featured an unprecedented championship and a title for the ages. The Westminster Christian Academy baseball team became the first in state history to string four consecutive championships, while St. Joseph's Academy girls soccer team came back from a two-goal deficit in the second half to defeat one of the country's top-ranked teams and win its first title in a dozen years.
