SSM St. Mary’s offers educational seminar on heart valves as part of its 90th Anniversary Speaker Series
Many people live their entire lives without ever considering the importance of healthy heart valves. But what happens when a heart valve is not working properly?
Knowledge is power. If you have heart valve disease or are related to or know someone with heart valve disease, you need to know the risks, as problems could be life-threatening. Even if treated with medications, faulty heart valves might need to be repaired and replaced. On Thursday, July 10, you are invited to Kohler Auditorium at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center, 6420 Clayton Road in Richmond Heights, for a “Healthy Heart Valves” learning session from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Join Dr. Trevor Axford and Dr. Mark Friedman of the SSM Heart Institute, two of the region’s premier heart valve specialists as they explain why it is so important to manage heart disease and discuss the latest advances in treating valve problems. The session also will include an opportunity for participants to get their questions about heart valve disease answered.
