St. Louis Attorney Elected, Sworn In As President Of The Missouri Bar

Morry Cole of Gray, Ritter & Graham, P.C., is new leader of The Missouri Bar

St. Louis lawyer Morry Cole, an attorney at Gray, Ritter & Graham, P.C., was elected the 2017-18 president of The Missouri Bar on September 13. The election took place during the 136th Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar held in Kansas City.

Cole was sworn in as president before the 800 attendees of the annual meeting at the conference’s opening luncheon on September14, where he outlined his goals for ways to continually improve services to Missouri Bar members and the public.

“Through best practices, efficiencies realized through strategic planning, upgraded technology, and continuing legal education and networking opportunities, we will enrich the experience of our members while continuing to help Missouri lawyers do an even better job for their clients,” Cole said. “I’m looking forward to working with a responsive and engaged board on behalf of our members and the people of Missouri.”

Cole graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and has been a member of the Board of Governors since 2013. Cole is a past chair of the state bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section Council and served on the board in 2002-03 as the representative of that council. His practice is focused on complex litigation in state and federal courts.

The Missouri Bar, headquartered in Jefferson City, was created in 1944 by order of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Its mission is to improve the legal profession, the administration of justice and the law on behalf of the public.
