Summer Time at the Clayton Farmer's Market

In this week's Clayton Farmer's Market email I led with the title, "Tis the Season to be Jolly with Local Fresh Fruit"---because it has turned out to be a really amazing market season and we are very, very, jolly about it!

The innovative growing techniques of our Farmers produced early arrivals of Berries, Tomatoes and Peaches!  Yes, Local Peaches Have Arrived!!  Lucky Us!

Combined with the cooler, wet spring which allowed the cold season crops, like lettuces, dark-leafy greens, carrots and beets, to linger a while longer in the fields, we have a wider variety of produce available to us at Market right now.  Usually we don't see this array of fruits and veggies until the autumn months.

With all of this wonderful abundance we're also feeling jolly to be adding new activities, new foods, new vendors----and new market-goers!  Many thanks to everyone who's stopped by for a visit.  We're glad you came by!!

THIS SATURDAY AT THE CLAYTON FARMER'S MARKET:

Children's Activity Tent:  Mid County YMCA
Centrue Bank Culinary Tent:  Gusto Gourmet w/ Fresh Italian Gelato
Special Event:  Glass Blowing Demonstration by Element 14
