Sun Shines Bright on Art Fair's Final Day
The third day of the Saint Louis Art Fair in Clayton saw temperatures in the mid-80s.
Jodi Perry's painting, "Journey," was selected to be theΒ commemorative print for this year's Saint Louis Art Fair, which ended Sunday after a three-day run in . SheΒ said her paintings of landscapes were made to be simple and peaceful.
"I like people to feel happy and relaxed when they look at them," said Perry, a resident of Polvadera, NM.
The mood of people in attendance Sunday at the Art Fair seemed to be just that,Β despite the warmer temperatures.Β Attendees strolled the streets of downtown Clayton, took in the art, grabbed bites to eat and chugged cold beverages.

Terry Evans of Overland Park, KS, was one of 10 first-place winners at this year's fair. His work includes wooden boxes, known as vessels, that are various sizes and shapes.
He was glad to hear about his honor, as it assures he will be able to display his work at future shows.

"It means we're re-invited next year," Evans said. "Knowing we have a show on the calendar is important."
The fair did not only include professional artists. At the Creative Castle, kids were encouraged to make their own works of art, including simple drawings and paper-bag hats.
At a parking lot off of Meramec Avenue, a chalk art competition featured students from St. Louis-area schools, including and .
"These guys are very, very talented," said Latricia Brooks, whose son was one of the Pattonville artists.
