Research indicates that many women experience low self-confidence or low self-esteem. Those who had one or two nurturing parents gradually learned how to be self-confident. Some were not fortunate enough to have been raised by nurturing, supportive people. Therefore, those individuals may not experience the world in the same way. They may not have achieved their goals. They many not realize that they can set realistic goals and achieve them. Relationships may present issues related to intimacy, education, careers and a host of other possible difficulties.
Self-confidence is born out of success. Beginning with small achievements and working our way up. Self-confidence is learned. Therefore, when we receive appropriate nurturing and support we are able to thrive.
