1. Soulard Farmers Market

Where: 730 Carroll St., St. Louis

The market dates back to 1779 and has more than 140 vendors selling produce, meat, cheese, baked goods, spices and flowers, among the many items available. After the short drive to the market, enjoy browsing all the vendors' stalls for fresh finds. Be sure to bring the kids and let them enjoy the nearby park and playground.

2. Arbor Day Celebration

When: April 26, 1 - 2:30 p.m.

Where: Millennium Park, 2 Barnes West Dr., Creve Coeur

Recognized as a β€œTree City” for more than 25 years, Creve Coeur will celebrate the day with sapling give-aways, a tree planting demonstration, fun activities for children and educational displays. Entries from the all ages art contest will also be on display.

3. Summer Concert Series

When: Thursdays, beginning May 14; times vary by date

Where: Millennium Park, 2 Barnes West Dr.

Enjoy live music on the lawn. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket or lawn chair and sit back and relax. Don’t feel like cooking? Grab some barbecue from the local Kiwanis, which will be available for purchase.

4. The Laumeier Annual Art Fair

When: May 8 - 10

Where: Laumeier Sculpture Park, 12580 Rott Road, Saint Louis

Held Mother’s Day weekend, the art fair, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The event will draw more than 160 artists from St. Louis and beyond. With food vendors galore, musical acts performing all weekend, hand-on activities and art, this event is can’t miss to mark on your calendar.

5. 20th Annual Heart to Heart 5K/10K Run/Walk

When: June 6, 7:30 a.m.

Where: Millennium Park, 2 Barnes West Dr. Creve Coeur

Rise and shine, then grab your running shoes and head out for this family-friendly run/walk around town. The race starts and ends at the park and is the perfect way to enjoy a Sunday morning. Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome!

6. Pond-O-Rama

When: June 27 -28

Where: Throughout the St. Louis region

Take a self-guided tour of some of the most enchanting water gardens in the St. Louis metro area. This Water Garden Society event continues to draw hundreds of guests each year. Celebrating its 26th anniversary, it continues to be the society’s premier fundraising program.
