
Lincoln Gray, audit principal and broker-dealer services practice leader with Brown Smith Wallace LLC, was selected by the Missouri Society of CPAs to receive the 2011 Outstanding Young Professional Award. “We are proud of Lincoln and his accomplishments,” said Tony Caleca, member in charge of audit services at Brown Smith Wallace. “He is a shining example of talent on the rise. He is very deserving of this honor as an emerging leader both in our firm and in the St. Louis community.”
Gray joined the firm in 2002 and his professional development has been non-stop ever since. In addition to serving the clients of the audit services group, he led the firm’s implementation of the New Audit Risk Standards. He has also developed a niche in the Securities Broker-Dealer area, a growing practice area for the firm.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Financial Management Society. His community involvement primarily includes committee and fundraising efforts facilitating the Ronald McDonald House and he was recently elected to the serve as a member of the House’s Board of Directors. Gray is a graduate of the Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy.

The Outstanding Young Professional award honors and supports CPAs 35 and under who serve as emerging and dynamic leaders in the profession. Candidates for this award are evaluated based on their active involvement in the profession, support of the CPA credential, and professional volunteerism.
