Creve Coeur-based accounting firm Brown Smith Wallace is expanding its Glen Carbon office capabilities with the assignment of two of its Illinois residents to the Glen Carbon office. Shawndel Rose, a manager, and Jamie Dressler, a supervisor, have joined the Glen Carbon office effective immediately.
“Shawndel and Jamie will strengthen our ability to help Illinois clients save money with state and local tax, credit and incentives planning, outsourced accounting, and QuickBooks assistance,” say Jeffrey Smith, partner, who heads up the firm’s Illinois operations. “With the challenging Illinois tax climate,” Smith adds, “we expect Shawndel’s increased presence on this side of the river to be a tax planning boon to even more of our Illinois clients. And, both Shawndel and Jamie will help our small business clients become more efficient in dealing with the ever more difficult environment they face.”

State St., Rte. 157, Ste. 300 location. In addition, the firm has offices in Creve Coeur and St. Charles, Missouri with an overall staff of approximately 200.

Shawndel is a state and local tax manager in Brown Smith Wallace’s tax services group. She has extensive expertise in state and federal credits and incentives and tax consulting. Shawndel has more than 20 years experience in accounting, and has worked in all aspects of individual and corporate taxation in a variety of industries. Shawndel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Illinois State University. She also holds a Certificate of Enrollment to Practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
Jamie recently joined the Brown Smith Wallace team as a supervisor in the BSW Small Business Services practice. She has more than eight years of experience in the industry and specializes in tax compliance and accounting services. Jamie is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, providing small business clients with QuickBooks training and consulting assistance. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from McKendree College.
