St. Louis-based accounting firm Brown Smith Wallace, LLC has been recognized by both Accounting Today, the leading trade publication for the accounting profession, and INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA), an accounting industry newsletter. Accounting Today named Brown Smith Wallace as one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work For in 2011. Brown Smith Wallace is the only St. Louis-based firm to receive this recognition for multiple years (three out of four years), including the past two consecutive years. Brown Smith Wallace also was recognized by IPA as a Top Five Fastest-Growing Firm in its revenue category ($20-30 Million) in the nation and an All-Star Firm, based on the firm’s performance in the areas of management and growth. According to IPA, the firms participating in this year’s annual survey turned in an average growth rate of just .08 percent. In comparison, Brown Smith Wallace grew by 8.2 percent.
