Community Corner

Craig Elementary Focuses on Character

in the Parkway School District will host a community night tonight (Tuesday, April 10) to vote on the character traits that their school will focus on in the coming year.  The event will also be an opportunity for students, parents, teachers and community members to celebrate the grant the school received from State Farm Insurance for the year-long character education program that will work to instill the selected traits in Craig students.  The grant provides resources and training for the school to implement the CHARACTERplus Way, which focuses on bully prevention, service learning and creating a caring community within the school.

The event takes place at 6:30 pm at Craig Elementary, 1492 Craig Road.  The character education program will be administered through CHARACTERplus, a program of Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis.
