“At Express Scripts, we feel it is our responsibility to do our part to help others in times of disaster and crisis,” said George Paz, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Express Scripts. “The Colorado fires are particularly close to home because of our hundreds of employees in nearby Pueblo, some of whom have been impacted. Our fellow Americans suffering these devastating losses deserve our support, as do the heroic efforts of firefighters and relief workers from across the nation.”
“The Red Cross will use this very generous donation to provide disaster victims in Colorado with food, shelter and emotional support,” said Cindy Erickson, Regional CEO of the American Red Cross.

As wildfires continue to scorch several states out west, an additional six volunteers from the St. Louis area have been deployed to Colorado to help in the relief efforts. A total of nine local Red Cross volunteers are now helping in various areas including transportation, health services and client casework. More than 100 people spent Sunday night in ten Red Cross shelters in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. Thousands of relief supplies like rakes, shovels, gloves and coolers have been handed out to people returning to their homes. The Red Cross has served more than 40,000 meals and snacks in Colorado.
