Only 17 days remain before nominations close for the 2013 Class of Women of Achievement.  The Women of Achievement organization is seeking the names of women who do exceptional volunteer work throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region.

Do you know a woman who is making a difference in the community through her volunteer efforts or has committed substantial volunteer time to a specific charity?   If so, help celebrate her accomplishments. Nominate her for the 2013 class of Women of Achievement honorees.

For over 57 years, Women of Achievement has recognized women who have a record of leadership in volunteer service to the greater St. Louis community, including Illinois.  Each year, ten women are selected and honored at a luncheon that regularly sells out.  We are now accepting nominations for women who will be honored at the 2013 Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon, which will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton, Missouri.  The Luncheon Chair is Joan Newman and Co-Chair is Susan Sherman.  They are supported by a committee of former honorees.

The community is urged to nominate worthy women by going to www.woastl.org.  The deadline for submission of nominations is Friday, January 5, 2013.  Act now!  Nominate a deserving woman who is making a difference in our community through service.

About Women of Achievement.  In 1955, the St. Louis-Globe Democrat newspaper created an awards program that became known as the Women of Achievement Award, to recognize and honor the achievements of women who, through their volunteer efforts, have demonstrated their dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life in the St. Louis community.  The St. Louis Women of Achievement organization, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1993 by former Women of Achievement who wished to ensure the longevity of the award for future generations of St. Louis area women. The organization's Board of Directors, comprised of past recipients of the award, continue to plan and implement the nomination, selection and award presentation process ensuring that this award will continue to enhance and honor the women volunteers in the St. Louis metropolitan region who positively impact the community for many years to come.   For more information, call 314-799-6465, 314-421-2005 or visit www.woastl.org.
