Reliance Bank Receives Missouri House Of Representatives Resolution For Work With Missouri Veterans History Project
ST. LOUIS, MO, December 6, 2012 – Employees at Reliance Bank’s Creve Coeur branch share a special bond with our country’s heroes. During the past several months, Reliance Bank has worked with local veterans as part of the Missouri Veterans History Project; a non-profit corporation organized to interview and record the stories of U.S. veterans.
Veterans from the St. Louis area came to Reliance Bank to tell their war stories as part of the unique project, bringing their uniforms, medals, pictures and memories to record history in the first person. Reliance Bank donated the use of its conference rooms to the Missouri Veterans History Project to use for the interviews.

Missouri Representative Jill Schupp (D-82) presented Reliance Bank with a resolution from the State of Missouri House of Representatives for the Bank’s role in furthering the mission and accomplishments of the Missouri Veterans History Project.

“It was my mission to make this program a reality on a volunteer basis, and Reliance Bank responded for our community,” said Rep. Jill Schupp. “Our duty is to capture as many veteran's stories as possible and preserve those stories at the United States Library of Congress and the Missouri Historical Society. This will help ensure future generations can learn about history from the people who lived it, not just from a book."
