India was woven into class curriculums too, allowing students to learn about the country from many angles. In addition to exploring history and geography, students learned to play cricket in P.E., experimented with the Indian tabla and harmonium in music, and created their own rangoli designs and diyas in art.
International Week culminated Friday with a rich cultural program consisting of dance, music and fashion performances by Rossman students, parents and teachers. Among the highlights were bharatnatayam and kathak dances, a carnatic-style vocal performance, and an Indian drum duet. The program concluded with a Bollywood dance performance and a lively fashion show.
