The Missouri Eating Disorders Association welcomes Ron
Thompson, PhD, one of the nation’s leading experts on eating disorders and sports to speak at the
St. Louis at Des Peres Lodge on March 14, 2014 beginning at 5pm. This event is free to the public
and is perfect for parents, coaches, physical education teachers of adolescents and young adults
who engage in sports. Eating disorders are the most fatal of all mental illnesses with adolescents
being the primary population that is affected. Dr. Thompson will share eating disorders facts and
information on how they specifically affect athletes and their performance. This important free
event will provide valuable information that can foster health and potentially even save lives. To pre-register for the event or for
