This Quilt Stitches Together A Young Life With Insulin-Dependent Diabetes
Diagnosed with T1D (type 1 diabetes) at the age of three, Lake St. Louis native Grant Starnes is now 11 and participates every year in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.Β His Walk team - Grant Me This β designs a new t-shirt every year.
Creve Coeur resident and proud maternal grandmother Jackie Toth took nine shirts from past Walks and made a beautiful quilt for Grant and his parents, Diana and Chris.Β What the family really wants this holiday season is a cure for Grant and millions of people who suffer from T1D.
