Archimedes’ Claw An Interesting Read

History, time travel, and an over-achieving but extremely likable protagonist – Dr. Theodore Homa’s newest book combines them all for a very entertaining read.

The story opens with a battle between ancient Roman forces and the besieged city-state of Syracuse. One man has a personal vendetta against Archimedes, the famed scientist and philosopher, in spite of his general’s orders to bring back Archimedes alive in order to discover the secrets of his “magic.”

Flash forward to the present. Dr. Finn McGee and his mentor, Dr. Frank Hayhurst, have been working on several top-secret experiments relating to Archimedes’ ancient texts, at Syracuse University. When the Feds step in after Dr. Hayhurst goes missing, it’s up to Finn to figure out what went wrong. His tactics and travels move him throughout time and space, back and forth, up and down.

This book is very well-written and beautifully produced, albeit a bit technical in some chapters. Definitely a must-read! We look forward to more to come from Dr. Homa very soon.
