Girls Youth Group Encourages Fun, Friendship and Service
Girl-centric youth group encourages girls to have fun, build friendships, and perform community service.
Are you a girl between the ages of 8 and 20? Do you like having fun and making new friends? Do you like helping others? Then Job's Daughters is the place for you! What is in it for you? Fun, friendship, teamwork, public speaking skills, travel, service to our community, scholarships and respect for God and our country. Founded in 1920 by Mrs. Ethel T. Wead Mick, Jobβs Daughters International is an organization of young women with members in the United States, Canada, Australia, the Philippines and Brazil. Members have fun together at activities such as circus, swimming parties, dances, family picnics, slumber parties, miniature golf, marching in parades and so much more. In Jobβs Daughters you will make new friends that will last a lifetime.
Jobβs Daughters perform service projects to help their community and the less fortunate. They actively support the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (HIKE) Fund, which purchases hearing assistive devices for hearing impaired children.
Jobβs Daughters can also qualify for various scholarships that are offered on a state and national level. We also gain valuable leadership experience, serve as part of a team, and learn democratic principles as they run their own meetings, decide our own activities, and plan our own events.
In short, Jobβs Daughters International offers the qualities that todayβs young women want and need from organizations that earn their commitment: fun, friendship, helping others and the chance to learn organizational and leadership skills. Job's Daughters Bethel #4 meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at Rose Hill Masonic Center (11122 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63141).
