"History of Music" Concert Rocks the Arch
Music event highlights national convention; open to public

Some notable music acts with ties to St. Louis, including Michael McDonald and Erin Bode, willΒ perform at this weekend's "History of Music" concert Saturday, August 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. under the Arch.Β The free concert serves as the Opening Celebration for the national meeting of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), but is open to the public.
As aΒ staffer of the Creve Coeur-based (AOA), I will be attending this meeting, both as a volunteer for the St. Louis ConventionΒ & Visitor'sΒ CommissionΒ during Saturday night's concertΒ and as a delegate on Sunday, August 7. Tina Brown of the Daily Beast is the keynote speaker Sunday morning. I should have some greatΒ notes and pictures from the meeting, which will bring about 5,000Β key association decision-makers and vendors to St. Louis.Β
SeveralΒ innovative events for attendees, including a dog biscuit baking session, will benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.Β I and my fellow volunteers look forward to showingΒ ASAEΒ attendeesΒ ourΒ famous Midwest hospitality!Β
