Opposition to the Vanguard at Creve Coeur 174-unit apartment complex proposal on the site of the former Immanuel Baptist Church property on Old Olive surfaced Monday during a public hearing at the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
A resident of the adjacent Carriage Condominiums spoke against it as did Ward 1 resident David Caldwell who also is a candidate for City Council.

Planning and Zoning Commissioner Cynthia Kramer, Caldwell's opponent in the council election, was a no-show for the meeting and hearing.
Review by the commission will resume at a future meeting.
