Creve Coeur Chamber Honors Business Person Of The Year

Thursday's luncheon also recognized, legislator of the year, along with incoming and outgoing leadership.

The came together for the organization's annual Awards & Installation luncheon Thursday, to recognize the body's Businessperson of the Year and Legislator of the Year. This year's winners were Larry Tessler, of Tessler Promotions and Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder.

Tessler was recognized for his efforts assisting on several volunteer committees for the chamber, as well as his work as an "Ambassador" for the organization. He received congratulatory letters and proclamations from a variety of local, state and federal officials, including Creve Coeur Mayor Harold Dielmann, State Representative Jill Schupp, State Senator Jane Cunningham, U.S. Representative William Lacy Clay and U.S. Senator Roy Blunt.

Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder was also honored as the Chamber's Legislator of the Year, for his support of a pro-business agenda in Jefferson City, as well as his push to oppose the Obama administration's reform of health care. Kinder was unable to attend due to recent surgery.

The meeting also served to install the 2012 slate of Directors for the Chamber, including President Jeanna Woods, of Delmar Gardens of Creve Coeur. Woods succeeds David Stuart, of Gateway Limited Partners, who was also recognized for his service.
