Police investigated the case of a dog left in a car, a stolen RX pad and other offenses during the week of August 22.

The following is information provided by the

August 22: A person was arrested for shoplifting in the 11400 block of Olive Blvd. a store security officer recovered the stolen items. The subject was released on a municipal court summons.

August 22: Police responded for a report of a dog locked in a vehicle located at a restaurant in the 12000 block of Olive Blvd. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and issued a municipal court summons.

August 22: A doctor reported that a former patient stole a prescription pad from his office. Police say this person has passed phony prescriptions at local pharmacies and that authorities are still investigating.

August 24: A person was arrested for Soliciting Without a Permit at Olive and Interstate 270. The person posted a municipal bond and was released.

August 24: Police are investigating a safe that was found in the 1200 block of Andes Blvd. It appeared to have been pried open.
