New faces to dot the football sidelines at area schools next fall; students sign to play college baseball.
- Head Football Coach Dave Taylor will be looking at some new faces in important roles when the 2011 season starts. Gone to Division I rosters will be , and the Red Devils will also be looking for a new offensive coordinator. Earlier this week, Michael Diffley, also an Assistant Athletic Director and former Wrestling Head Coach at the school, was announced as head football coach at Vianney. Chaminade Head Coach Dave Taylor did not return an email seeking comment, but Athletic Director Thomas Fernandez tells Patch that he, Taylor and the rest of the coaching staffΒ "have begun making plans to reorganize the coaching staff for the 2011 season."

- First it was a , and now a new football coach will take the helm at when it leaves Creve Coeur for Town and Country next fall. JD Perona is stepping down after eight years in charge of the Wildcat football program. He will stay at the school as the Middle School Athletic Director and be involved in coaching. Defensive Coordinator Cory Snyder has been promoted to the head job. Snyder has been on the staff since 2001.
- The high school baseball season isn't finished yet, but a pair of know where they'll be playing next year. On Wednesday, Killian Knowles and Zak Larkin signed Letters of Intent to play next season at Drury and Truman State, respectively.
