The $9.5 million greenhouse project provides an additional 16,520 sq. ft. of space the Center’s Greenhouse and Growth Complex. The new range includes eight large houses equipped with high intensity lighting, high ceilings (15 ft. to eave), auto-irrigation systems and adjustable light canopies for more precise lighting control.
A $2 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Agency is helping finance the project along with various bonds.
