Conversations: Water Availability and the Impact on Global Agriculture

The Danforth Plant Science Center’s “Conversations” series will continue on Thursday, March 21, 2013.

A two part “Conversations” series, sponsored by The Boeing Company, will be held at the Danforth Plant Science Center to discuss efforts to improve agriculture practices and water use from a global and local perspective.

The first program, on the eve of World Water Day, will feature a discussion with Dr. Roberto Lenton, Executive Director of the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute at the University of Nebraska Lincoln; and Michael Doane, Vice President of Sustainable Agriculture Policy at Monsanto Company. They each bring compelling perspective and experience regarding global water issues and the relationship to global agriculture. Dr. Jim Davis, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Washington University, will moderate the distinguished panel.
