Help a Hero

You can get a haircut and donate to a good cause every Wednesday in October at Sport Clips in Creve Coeur at the Shoppes of Westgate Shopping Center, Olive and Tempo. The Sport Clips chain is sponsoring a fundraiser for VFW Operation Uplink to provide free phone calls home each month for deployed or wounded military.  


"These calls are more than just 'morale' calls, they are often a lifeline for those who are far from home - sometimes on a second or third deployment, The calls home were important to me when I was stationed overseas while in the Air Force, and are just as important to others today.", said Barb Marshall, Owner of the Creve Coeur Sport Clips and retired USAF MSgt.


The fundraiser will work like this:

*  Come in for a haircut and make a donation, or


* Get an "MVP", which is Sport Clips signature haircut service of a precision haircut, relaxing shampoo. hot towel and neck and shoulder massage; ask for a "Haircuts for Heros" discount at checkout and your $24 MVP will cost $21.  The $3 difference will be donated to Help a Hero.

The VFW raises money every year and this is the sixth year that Sport Clips is participating.
