Home Safe Home: How to Ensure the Safety of Persons Living with Dementia

The Adult Day Center at the J, in partnership with Memory
Care Home Solutions, invites you to an educational seminar:Β  Home Safe Home: How to Ensure the Safety of Persons Living with Dementia. Memory Care
Home Solutions’ Steve Miskovic, MSW, LCSW , will speak about general safety concerns, resources available to ensure home safety, and when and how to do a
safety evaluation to protect your loved one inside and outside of the home.

The mission of the Adult Day Center at the J is to provide
services that enable people with chronic physical health problems to remain living in the community for as long as possible. As it is the preference of most people to remain in their homes, our program enables them to do so by
offering a safe setting in which they receive nutritious meals as well as daily oversight of medical and personal care.Β  As a means of maximizing and maintaining current functioning, we engage participants in activities that are
socially, cognitively, and physically stimulating. We also meet the needs of family caregivers by providing respite and support.

This free event will be held in the multipurpose room
of the Adult Day Center on Wednesday, March 14, from 7:00-8:30pm, which is located in the Staenberg Family Complex at 2 Millstone Campus Drive. Refreshments provided for this event by Anchor Home Care.Β  RSVP by
calling: 314-442-3248.
