RUG HOOKING - a family event! - Tappmeyer House

RUG HOOKING EXHIBIT and DEMONSTRATION at the historic Tappmeyer House in Creve Coeur's Millennium Park - FUN for the ENTIRE FAMILY

Rug hooking is both an art and a craft where rugs are made by pulling loops of fabric through a stiff woven base.Β  Although rug hooking dates back to the early 19th century rug’s continue to be made today and are considered in high demand by collectors.Β  Enjoy the exhibit of rugs created by Earl O’Rourke, who will also demonstrate this art as part of the exhibit.Β  Pat O’Rourke will demonstrate hand finishing of rugs.

Saturday, September 17, 2011, 10 AM to 2 PM at the Tappmeyer Homestead in Creve Coeur’s Millennium Park, 2 Barnes West Drive.Β  Admission: $3.00 for Adults and $1.00 for children.
