Decorations, mirror ball lighting, delicious treats, music, dancing, party photos, everything you would expect to find at any area high school senior prom, only this prom is for Seniors – ages 60+. On Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm, Covenant House Apartments is sponsoring a night for seniors to kick up their heels and take a walk down memory lane at the “Spring Fling Senior Prom”.
A Model A Ford is being delivered as a backdrop for party photos. Robert Cohn, Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the St. Louis Jewish Light will be serving as “Honorary Prom King”.
“We want to create an evening for area seniors to dress up, enjoy the festivities, and receive some very special attention. You don’t need a date for this prom, just a desire to go out and have some fun,” said Covenant House Executive Director, Joan Denison.
