Residents are encouraged to attend and share their opinions on trash and recycling services as the city’s contract with Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) expires on June 30, 2014. The Horticulture, Environment and Beautification Committee and city staff are seeking citizen input as service levels are determined for the next trash and recycling contract.
A brief presentation on current service levels, market trends and associated costs will be followed by questions and comments from the public. The goal is to obtain input and direction through discussions with residents regarding the desired trash and recycling services for the next 5-year contract. For questions, please contact Jim Heines, Director of Public Works, at 314-872-2538.
