First Bank Offers Hearty Small Business Handshake, Miss Kelly’s Gym for Kids in Creve Coeur

Miss Kelly’s Gym for Kids in Creve Coeur was the third weekly winner of the First Bank Small Business Handshake, a promotion that recognizes small business owners and entrepreneurs for their commitment to their business, employees and communities.

In partnership with 101.1 ESPN and WARH (106.5 The Arch), listeners are encouraged to nominate business owners or companies to receive a First Bank Small Business Handshake. Nominations can be made through http://www.101sports.com/ and http://www.1065thearch.com/ through May 28, 2017.

“Miss Kelly has taken the remains of a little gym in Creve Coeur and made a highly successful business,” said Michael Sturgeon, a patron of the gym. “Patrons seem to love the atmosphere and appreciate the hard work that the staff puts into their work for local families.”

For her winning nomination, Kelly Mertens (Owner/Gym Director) received a celebratory handshake from First Bank’s Cynthia Donaldson, a First Bank cake, a framed certificate and a Mastercard® gift card. A $100 check was also donated to the charity of her choice – the Alzheimer’s Association of St. Louis. Miss Kelly’s is also eligible to win the grand prize.

One company from the weekly winners will be selected as the grand prize winner. They will receive lunch for 25 at their location, a produced two minute video about their business, a $5,000 on-air and online advertising package for their business and a $5,000 on-air and online advertising package for the charity of their choice.

Locally and family owned, Miss Kelly's Gym is a gymnastics and fitness center for children that provides a variety of gymnastics, dance and sports-related classes.
