Former Mayor Dielmann to Be Honored at Retirement Celebration

Creve Coeur will commemorate long-time Mayor Harold Dielmann's retirement with a reception June 9.

The City of Creve Coeur is set to honor one of its longest-serving city officials June 9 with a retirement reception for former Mayor Harold Dielmann.

The reception, open to Creve Coeur businesses and residents, will be held at Chaminade's Skip Viragh Center for the Arts this Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. to recognize Dielmann's service to the city. The RSVP deadline has passed, but check back to PatchΒ for the story this weekend.

Dielmann, 82, served for 28 total years as mayor over the past 46 years. His term limit hit for this year's election and was succeeded by in April. Dielmann said in aΒ Β he was retiring from public office and looking forward to being "on the other side of the table," hoping to make an impact in Creve Coeur real estate.
