How to identify root causes of stress and anxiety and how to lessen them.

Stress and anxiety play a significant role in our psychological and physical health both now and in the future.

As a psychotherapist, who specializes in women’s concerns stress and anxiety are reoccurring themes in therapy. You may be able to identify more obvious sources of stress and anxiety. However, understanding how race, ethnicity, class and gender intersect usually provides an, ”aha” moment! At that point, you will begin to really understand why you feel and behave as you do.


There are various ways to lessen stress and anxiety. A few methods that I find very helpful are, talk therapy, relaxation techniques, clinical hypnotherapy and writing. Depending on your individual preferences and needs, we may do two therapies. Of course, I would educate and guide you regarding different types. However, you would make all final decisions.
