International book coach to host free event for aspiring authors in Creve Coeur on January 27

Nancy Erickson, also known as The Book Professor, is an international book marketers, executive book coach, and international speaker who works to help aspiring authors write high-impact nonfiction books that will have an impact on the world around them.

Erickson will host a free workshop for aspiring authors at Centerco Office Suites in Creve Coeur on January 27th entitled, “10 mistakes that new authors make (and How You Can Avoid Them!).”

“In my years of coaching writers, I’ve seen many manuscripts from new authors. Because I work with people who want to write a nonfiction book that will save lives, change lives or transform society, these manuscripts are normally from everyday people, not professional writers, who have experienced or learned something they feel compelled to share,” said Erickson, “but because they aren’t professional writers, their work is far from ready for publication. Through this workshop, I hope to help aspiring authors identify some typical pitfalls and avoid them as they go.”

The workshop will be held 11 am to 1 pm, and is free for the first 20 to RSVP. The session will help writers:

• Discover how to begin writing their book, if they’ve been stumped until now.
• Learn how deadlines can make or break their writing process.
• Find out whose opinions to trust & consider as they write their manuscript.
• Find out how to avoid unnecessary investments of time and money.
  
  

Those in St. Louis can attend the in-person workshop - which is a brown bag lunch & learn session, where participants can come out on their lunch hour, bring a meal and learn. There is also an online option one week early for those outside of the area - as The Book Professor will offer an online webcast.
