It Is Not Too Late To Sign Up For Summer Camp
Whether you child loves baseball, science, swimming or arts and crafts, Patch has tracked down camps still offering registration.

If the hustle and bustle of the ending school year prevented you from signing the kids up for summer camp, don't despair. Whether your child's interest lies in baseball, art, dance, golf or horseback riding, there are many camps still accepting eager young campers.
The Creve Coeur Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of summer camp programs and openings are still available. Click on the individual links below for dates, cost and location.

Abra-Kid-Abra
Various locations in the Saint Louis area are offering Abra-Kid-Abra camps, with an assortment of themes including Magic Camp, Circus Camp, Balloon Camp, Comedy Camp, Puppet Camp, Math-a-Magic Camp, Mind Reading Camp and Computer Magic Camp. Check the Abra-Kid-Abra website for prices and locations.

All-Star Performance
This sports camp offers a variety of programs for girls and boys, ages 5 to 13. There are very limited spaces available in the All-Star Perfomance Summer Baseball Camp Series in Kirkwood and Herculaneum. Camps are Monday through Thursday and cost $129 per session.
Andrews Academy in Creve Coeur still has openings available for their summer camp sessions, which is divided into two, five-week sessions. The academy has activity packages to choose from for each session. The first session began June 6 and ends July 8. However, sessions may be paid on a weekly basis, so there is still time to sign up for the first session. The second session begins July 11 and ends August 12. Camp days are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., before and after care (6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) is available at no additional charge. Contact the academy directly for details and to tour the campus.

*Baskin Farm Summer Camp and Pegasus Equestrian Center
Campers learn hunt-seat (English) riding as well as how to care for horses and riding equipment, with an emphasis on safety and sportsmanship. Six one-week sessions, at Baskin Farm in Wildwood and Pegasus Equestrian Center in Town and Country are being offered this summer for campers, ages 7 to 14. The cost per week is $425. *Wildlife Center of Missouri
The Wildlife Rescue Center in Ballwin provides one day and one week summer camps for children ages 6-12. Each camp is different and teaches children about the environment and how ecosystem changes immediately around us, may be because of changes abroad. One day camp is $25 per camper, for ages 6-11 only and one week camps are $140 per camper. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Before and after care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 5p.m.. Each service is an additional $40, and provides care for all five days of camp. Bridgeton Summer Camp
Bridgeton Summer Camp still has openings available for campers ages 6 to 12 years of age. The 6-week program runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday and is based in Gentry Park. Registration closes the Monday prior to the beginning of each session. Session 1 is June 27 to July 8, Session 2 is July 11 to 22 and Session 3 is July 25 to August 5. During each session campers will enjoy fun activities, including one field trip per session and swimming at the Bridgeton Crossing Family Aquatic park two to three afternoons per week. Crafts, games, songs and other activities keep the kids entertained as well. Each session is $85 per two week session for residents and $155 for non-residents, extended care is available at an additional cost.
Bridgeton also offers a teen camp with spots still available. There are three sessions of camp and each will be completely different. Teen Camp meets each morning at the Bridgeton Community Center, and runs three days a week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. One of the goals is for campers to try something new this summer, so there will be field trips or fun on-site activities. The cost per session is $150 for residents and $150 for non-residents.
In addition, the Bridgeton Community Center offers specialty camps which include Petite Poms, Petite Princesses and American Sign Language sponsored by Club KidFit. The programs
Camp Chautauqua
Camp Chautauqua, a day camp for children in grades K-5, offers swimming lessons, field trips, arts and crafts, sports, games, cooking, geocaching and more.This Richmond Heights camp runs 10 one-week sessions from June 6 to August 12. You can sign your child up for all ten weeks or just one. All field trips, breakfast between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., and a hot lunch is included in the $235 one-week session. Afternoon Wind Down from 4 to 6 p.m. is available for $75 per one-week session.
Camp Sabra
Camp Sabra, noted as one the best Jewish sleep -away summer camps in the country still has openings available. Campers can enjoy waterskiing , wakeboarding, tubing, swimming, sailing, kayaking, cliff jumping, water sliding and more. On land children can play basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, archery and volleyball. For the artistically inclined, drama, dance, music and arts and crafts are available. They also offer a climbing wall, a zip line, camping trips, outdoor cooking and hiking. Camp Sabra has one and two week camps for children in grades 3 to 5 and longer camp sessions for children in grades 3 to 10. Check the Camp Sabra website for details.
Vaghi Martial Arts Summer Camp
Vaghi Martial Arts in Fenton is recruiting campers, boys and girls age 6 - 16, to learn Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling and self defense. The first session is Monday June 20 – Friday June 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The session cost is $150 and includes camp shirt.
Isaiah’s Run
If water sports are your child's passion, then Isaiah's Run in Owensville is for you. They are accepting students, ages 8 to 16 , for waterskiing and wakeboarding. There are two age brackets, Little Rippers (LR) which are students ages 8-12, and Young Shredders (YS) which are students ages 13-16. The weekly overnight camp rate is $640. The price includes three to four private lessons (20 minutes long) for each student daily, all meals, lodging, and activities. Camps begin on June 6 and end July 29. St. Louis Ballet School
The Ballet School in Chesterfield offers instruction in ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, pointe, crafts, and arts education for ages 7 through 21. The exciting summer program is taught by respected memebers of the schoool and the Saint Louis Ballet. Summer programs start in July and last three to four weeks and are divided by age and ability. Tuition for Beginners is $158 per week (10 classes per week offered) and Intermediate and Advanced is $225 per week (15 classes per week offered). Cinderella Princess Camp is also offered for one week only, July 11-15. This one week experience, for girls ages 3 to 4, is filled with Creative Movement and Ballet Basics, story time, visual ballet education, ballet arts and crafts and a performance showcase parents at the end of the program.
*Maryville University
The Summer Arts Institute Middle and High School Program at Maryville University in Town and Country offers fine arts instruction and experience for students who have completed grades 6 through 10 and are ages 11 to 17. These programs are more intensive than what is usually offered traditionally, with an emphasis on drawing, metalsmithing, painting and ceramics. Metro Theatre Company
The Metro Theatre Company is sponsoring a summer program, ArtsINTERsection, at New City School on July 25 to 29 and August 1 to 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The Preschool Program for children, ages 4 and 5, will engage them in creative drama and music in the mornings, and visual art and outdoor play in the afternoon.The School-age Program, for first through fourth graders, can enjoy acting and improvisation, Creative Movement, and visual art. Each afternoon features a new experience with the arts and creative play – Pirate Day, Mystery Day, Water Fun Day. New City School offers before and after care, and additional fees may apply. The New City School in the Central West End is offering more camps in addtion to ArtsINTERsection summer camps. There are some camps still accepting campers. Check their brochure for details, dates, times and cost.
Ms. Bridget's Conservatoire of Dance
Ms. Bridget's provides instruction in Hip Hop, Pom, Cheer, Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Drama. All participants must be at least five years of age to participate in a full day camp. Half-day camps are available for three and four year olds during the six week FAME Camp (Summer Dance Intensive) only. Students will be grouped by age and experience. Before and after care (7 a.m.. to 5:30 p.m.) is available at no additional cost. Ms. Bridget's FAME Camp is a six week summer dance internsive with instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pom/cheer, acting, chorus, arts and crafts and story time for half-day campers. Hip Hop Camp includes instruction in various styles of Hip Hop and arts and crafts. Pom/Cheer Camp includes a camp T-shirt, pom-poms, instruction in precision drill, kick and basic cheer principles, pom and hip hop sidelines as well as spirit chants, stunts, jumps and pyramids, special presentations and workshops and arts & crafts. Camp Whitfield is a day camp for students, ages 5-18, entering kindergarten through seventh grade. Camp sessions beginning in July include Gross-Me-Out Science!, Scrap-booking, Film-making, Fashion design, Robotics, Book-making, Junior CSI and Jewelry-making. Whitfield School also hosts a variety of sports camps for athletes at any level. Camps offered include volleyball, field hockey, boys and girls basketball and wrestling. Before Care begins at 7:30 a.m. and is $45 per week; After Care lasts until 5 p.m. and is $60 per week.
Anytime Summertime Kids Camp, for children ages 3 to 8, offers various themes, fitness, interactive play, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, group activities, snack time and special events. Schedule a day, a few days, or several full week sessions. You can customize your child's camp days to fit your schedule. Check the Little Gym website for details, dates and times. Craft Alliance
The Craft Alliance in the Delmar Loop, offers campers, ages 4-18, learning opportunities in the use of artistic media like clay, glass, metal arts, writing and creating books, wearable art, puppets and more. There are one-week half-day camps June 6 to August 12, and supervised lunchtime is free for campers staying all day. Before and after care is available for a small additional fee. Priory School in Creve Coeur is offering summer programs like Art (Photography, Digital Photography), Computers, English, Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Science and Sports Camps. The program is open to boys and girls from age 11 to 18. The overall summer program begins Monday, June 13 and will end Friday, July 22, individual camps range in length from one to six weeks. Most programs are $82 per week, however fees for some camps will vary. There is limited availability, please contact the Priory directly for specific openings.
Team Central
Team Central, specializing in gymnastics, in Maryland Heights is offering themed day camps for chidren, ages 5 to 12. Still accepting campers, Team Central holds the camps in weekly increments, beginning June 6 and ending August 19. Camp hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Weekly Rates are $164 per week for members and $174 per week for non members.
The Jewish Community Center with locations in Creve Coeur and Chesterfield has a vast array of camp choices from outdoor camp to sports and arts camps. Each camp incorporates Jewish values and tradition in its programming and is geared toward building self esteem. The J in Creve Coeur at the Staenberg Family Complex boasts over 40 acres of wooded trails, four lodges for camp groups, outdoor fields for sports and other activities, and one of the area’s largest outdoor pools.The J in Chesterfield at the Marilyn Fox Building sits on 11 acres and campers have access to the area’s Aqua Climb® wall, the arts and crafts room and the new jGames Zone, a double court gymnasium, outdoor sports fields and Grand Slam batting cages. Countryside Creve Coeur offers two summer programs for children, ages 1 through 7. The first program is held for ten weeks, June 6 to August 12, from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.. Countryside’s Summer Program activities include: swimming instruction, nature study, gardening, outdoor games, arts and crafts which include drawing, painting, collage, and clay. Pony rides are given daily on Countryside’s two ponies, Khemosabie and Noelle. The second program, Mini-camp, will be offered August 15 to 26. Mini-camp may not include swimming, but will include daily pony rides, outdoor play, art and dramatic play. Check the website for details, tuition cost and more. Starting Monday, June 13, spaces are available in all age groups.
The Hope Montessori summer camps include activities in arts and crafts, games,field trips, music, drama, science experiments,nature, swimming instruction, cooking and sports. The Creve Coeur camp hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The Ballwin location camp hours are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for half day, and 8:30 to 3:00 p.m. for full day. Before and after care is available. Only a few spots are left and depend on the age of the child. Call the academy to see if they can accomodate your child.
