Parkway Central Holds Off Summit In Thursday Night Football Action
Central scores three times in second half to pull away in 28-9 victory over visiting Falcons.
CHESTERFIELD β TheColts continued their winning ways Thursday night at PCH Stadium, with a convincing 28-9 win over visiting Suburban South Conference foe Summit High.
Central quarterback Cole Gorman ran for a score and threw for another one, while teammate Brandon Sheperd returned a kickoff 96 yards for his league-leading 16th touchdown of the season, as the Colts overcame a flat start to pick up a big win over the Falcons.
Summit actually controlled the action for much of the first half, but wasnβt able to produce any points.

And that proved to be a problem, as Central scored three touchdowns in the second half and held Summit to a field goal and a last-minute touchdown, to push its record to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
Summit fell to 4-3 and 3-3, as both teams get ready for the district playoffs, which begin statewide next week.
