Police Dispatcher Serving Creve Coeur and Neighboring Communities Mourned
Lisa O'Brien had served in law enforcement radio dispatching since 2002.

TheΒ WestΒ CentralΒ DispatchΒ Center, which includes radio dispatching services for , is mourning the suddenΒ loss of Communications Specialist Lisa OβBrien, 31, whoΒ passed away MondayΒ due to complications from a recent respiratory illness.Β
O'Brien is survived by her husband, Kevin, and her two children Aidan, 5 and Maddie, 8 months.
Town and Country Police Captain Pat Kranz told Patch that O'Brien served in law enforcement for more than 10 years as a 911 dispatcher. She began in 2002 as a dispatcher for the and recently transferredΒ to the newly created , which also dispatches for Town and Country and police.

"She was one of those people who could just light up the room, so it just hit everyone here really hard," Cpt. Kranz told Patch.
Visitation for O'Brien is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at NorthΒ CountyΒ CommunityΒ Church,Β 7410 Howdershell Rd. inΒ Hazelwood.

O'Brien's memorial service is at the same location at 10 a.m. Friday.Β
