St. Louis Jewish Book Festival

JCC Staenberg Family Complex, Arts & Education Building - 2 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146

Diamant comes to the Festival best known for her fiction, The Red Tent, a word-of-mouth bestseller that has published in more than 25 countries and, in 2014, was adapted as a two-part, four-hour miniseries by Lifetime TV. Diamant, born in Brooklyn, NY in 1951, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in comparative literature and earned a Master’s in American Literature from Binghampton University. Her newest book, The Boston Girl, tells the story of family ties and values, with friendship and feminsim through the eyes of a young Jewish woman growing up in Boston in the early twentieth century. The moving portrait of one woman’s complicated life is a fascinating look at a generation of women finding their place in a changing world.
