St. Louis Rotisserie Celebrates 20th Anniversary

St. Louis Rotisserie, a restaurant and catering company, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Husband and wife team Jennifer and Drew Sterling are the original owners and founders of the restaurant, which has remained at its same location at 13029 Olive Blvd. in Creve Coeur.

St. Louis Rotisserie marinates fresh whole chickens in a fat-free, oil-free and MSG-free blend of natural citrus juices and herbs. Cooking involves an authentic wood-fired rotisserie method which cooks out the fat and seals in the juice.  Specialties include rotisserie chicken and ham, grilled salmon, Jamaican jerk chicken, barbecue ribs, and chicken salad.  The restaurant offers dine-in and carry-out service, as well as drop-off catering.  St. Louis Rotisserie is the official caterer of the St. Louis Rams.

In honor of its anniversary, St. Louis Rotisserie recently began making and bottling its own hot sauces.  The signature sauces use locally grown ingredients including habanero and ghost peppers.

The restaurant created a work program more than 15 years ago through a partnership with St. Louis Arc, a non-profit agency that provides services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

“For the past 20 years, I begin each morning around 4 a.m. by building a wood fire in the rotisserie and cooking chickens and other meats,” said owner Drew Sterling.  He added that the “business has grown throughout the years, and we are so grateful to our loyal customers and our employees who have been with us from the start.”
