Chaminade's Bradley Beal named Gatorade Player of The Year For The State of Missouri Thursday.

The first high school basketball season in Creve Coeur Patch history is well, history.

Thursday we tie a bow on the gift that was with news that Brad Beal was named as Gatorade's Missouri Boys Basketball Player of the Year. The Florida-bound Beal led Chaminade to the state quarterfinals by averaging 32.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.7 steals a game. He won the award, which also recognizes accomplishment in the classroom and in the community, last season as well. A nationwide player of the year will be chosen later this month.

Our community saw quite a bit unfold on the hardwood this year. In addition to Chaminade, and the Girls squads also advanced to the state quarterfinals. in school history. We salute all the student athletes who were cheered on, along with the families who supported them.
