Tips for Women to Become More Compassionate

Women Who Allow Themselves To Be Used By Others Are Not Practicing Compassion.

As a psychotherapist, I am privileged to hear many women’s stories. A fairly common theme expressed by most women is feeling used by others. Unfortunately, women have been conditioned to accept unacceptable behavior. We have not been taught how to set realistic boundaries. Therefore, we may allow others to use us and feel angry at the same time.

Setting appropriate boundaries and holding others accountable for their actions is the way towards compassion. How can I feel compassionate towards someone who I feel is using me? When we practice self acceptance setting boundaries and holding others accountable is a must. Only then are we capable of feeling true compassion towards others.
